Castrofate began in 2004 when “Riffmeister Dan” Castro (vocalist / guitarist) decided to put a band together. The debut album "Awakening of the Beast" was released in April of 2007, with the enormous help of Dan's cousin Rob Menak, who shared a 10 year+ history of playing together. Dan and Rob's old bandmate James Danzo joined on second guitar upon completion of the album, and Lewis Rosado joined the band on bass.

 

The style of Castrofate is derived from the influence of old school heavy metal like Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Death, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden. With the release of their debut album under their belt, some well-received radio play, and some intense live performances, Castrofate are working on the follow-up to "Awakening of the Beast" and are set to conquer!
